American Art 101

By Yehudit Mam, July 28, 2015

Last weekend, we went to the Whitney Museum for the first time since it moved to its new, much nicer digs downtown. The opening exhibition “America is Hard To See” is a fantastic crash course on the history of American modern art. It’s exhaustive, a bit exhausting and a lot of fun.  These works are some of our favorites:

The museum itself has amazing views of the city and the Hudson River, its terraces framing the landscape as if it were art as well.
